Rohmann Services, Inc. has immediate openings for experienced Metrology/Engineering Technicians at the Johnson Space Center in Houston supporting NASA and the US Space Program. JOB DESCRIPTION/SUMMARY:
Apply knowledge in measurement science, mathematics, physics, and electronics to calibrate measurement and test equipment (MTE) in Electronic and Physical/Dimensional disciplines.
- Work from established calibration procedures or develop new procedures as necessary.
- Comprehend technical material, service manuals, engineering drawings, and spreadsheets.
- Must be able to perform calculations using math/algebra and have a basic understanding of statistics.
- Must be able to make final processing decisions regarding the status of MTE being calibrated.
- Develop and maintain measurement uncertainty budgets, perform measurement decision risk calculations, participate in Proficiency Testing activities, and other metrology activities required in support of the laboratory’s accreditation.
- Experience using Fluke MET/TRACK® Calibration Management Software – Advanced MET/CAL programming experience highly desired
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- U.S. Citizen
- Successfully pass background investigation
- Minimum AA degree, formal military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training, or equivalent
- ASQ CCT certification is required for Metrology Technician positions
- Experience working under ISO9001, ISO/IEC 17025, and/or ANSI/NCSL Z540.3 management systems
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in the calibration of measurement and test equipment
- Skilled with Microsoft Office and industry specific software
