RSI currently provides base services to support the 25,000 person campus at the US Air Force Academy, and has previously supported other locations’ logistics operations.
RSI manages a multi-million dollar IT account containing tens of thousands of assets. During a 2012 combined inspection, we were recognized as an exceptional unit for having zero accountability errors. We developed an IT asset tracking database, enabling creative reuse of aging equipment to support large events. Obsolete equipment is staged and delivered to DRMO to reduce warehouse space requirements. We also develop training materials and provide IT custodian training to hundreds of custodians each year.
RSI has experience as the Central Receiving activity for all deliveries, inspections and delivering inbound freight for largest Test Wing in the US Air Force at Eglin AFB. Our technicians have provided cradle-to-grave logistics function to support our customer’s unique requirements. Our 2012 support included:
- 800 Request-for-Purchase transactions valued at $38.5M
- 6,400 Government Furnished Property (GFP) receipts processed
- 100 Task orders processed.
- 8K credit card transactions valued at $5M government validated for timely payment
- $128M in accounted property on Property Custodian CA/CRL
RSI manages base records using Air Force Records Management System (AFRMS). We develop training material and train Functional Area Records Manager (FARM) and Record Custodians (RC). We stage documents and microfilm for disposition, scan documents, and create digital copies. We also provide software accountability for all COTS software on base.
Publications and Forms Management
RSI manages form publications, including development of new AF forms to support base operations. We work directly with customers to identify form requirements, then translate these requirements into efficient, visually appealing forms.
RSI operates the official mail for the USAFA’s 18,000 acre installation. We service multiple delivery locations and maintain all mail vehicles.
